Bahamas Methodist Habitat

June 16, 2014

Our Join Youth Group at the airport ready to fly out.

It’s not very often you can spend a week in the Bahamas and call it work, but that’s exactly what we intend to do here at Camp Symonette in Eleuthera. Our joint youth group brought a crew of youth/pastors/adults from Vinings, Cumberland and Faith UMCs. Joining others from the North Georgia Conference and teaming with the Bahamas Methodist Habitat we plan to see how we can build relationships with others as we build houses with locals. We are already on “Island Time” as we discovered that our 4:00 pm connecting flight was considered On Time even though it left an hour and a half late. But we are taking in the beach breeze and watching the hermit crabs scuttle as we prepare for the week ahead.
